(24,415 posts)He was appointed by Obama to run some office after he took office but then right-wingers ginned up some kind of "scandal" about him in those early days- him being too "radical" or something. and Obama felt like he had to let him go. I think that he started to go sideways when he made a comment about Trump seeming "Presidential" after giving a halfway normal SOTU speech or something.

(28,341 posts)I really decided I was finished altogether with him then.
I felt sorry for him when Prince died, but really, his "insights" since Trump took over the White House have been absolute crap.

Never watched Van Jones.
But did listen to a little bit of Trump this morning at Shady Acres or whatever. He was going on about how he did not need this job, he should be sitting among them. It flashed through my mind, this guy knows he is done, getting ready to resign.
Cha
(297,323 posts)I think he wants to hang onto his fake place in the world and continue trying to lie and smear his way out of the crisis he's made for himself.
But we'll see.. look at how far we've come from him Lying about the size of his inauguration and scamming everything connected to it.

I know a few of the greedy in real life. Two are Preachers.

Anyway, they knew what they were getting into when they moved there. Though they're not the gossipy types, they can tell you some interesting stories about Geritol Babylon and the wild sex parties. When they heard Trump was coming to town, they thought it was an ideal time to head to Disney for the week to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, which is today.

(14,176 posts)we even follow each other on twitter, but ever since tRump signed the First Step Act and Mr Jones joined forces with Kim Kardashian-West an Mr Kushner, he's been far too uncritical--and frankly often supportive--of this administration. I understand he has ulterior motives and the inmates are a worthwhile cause, but damn. He was never this solicitous of Pres Obama; when Obama did something wrong, Mr Jones was more than happy to say so.

It's a WIN WIN for Dems.. It's the right thing to do holding trump accountable for his impeachable offenses.. That's the starting point.. the rest will follow..
Are we as Dems suppose to cower under trump because we're afraid like Van Jones and Erin Burnett?

Jones is probably wrong here, but thats OK.

(53,794 posts)presidential." He curries favor too much with repugs for my taste. And what a silly comment, if we didn't impeach many Dem voters would be so upset that would be the real lose/lose situation.
If Jones doesn't see the corruption and utter unfitness for office of trump you have to wonder what his agenda is.
