Health care is a good example of the different life experiences. I can't understand why someone has to pay $2,600 a month for health insurance through the ACA. It must be that the law was changed by the Supreme court where people are not forced to buy insurance.
I now have Medicare but I actually had better coverage through my employer before I retired 5 years ago. Many people don't understand that some people like their private insurance. It has to do with other things in the mix. I worked for county government with a union. I rarely need medical care so I could get a high deductible plan with a HSA.
My experience is a world away from others who feel M4A would better for them.
I think that the above is why most Americans are centrists. They don't believe in one size fits all.
