(6,110 posts)It has been steady 88-90 ever day here for many days, but cooled off a bit now.

(10,572 posts)Meanwhile us that have late summers are still waiting for them to arrive. I'm in Southern California (SD), we typically have the hottest month as August/September and then it bleeds into October during the day. We have had very few days over 80 this year.

(156 posts)99 is a lot more than I can handle. 40 miles NE of Charlotte. Couple more days and we get some relief from the 90's.

(110 posts)Yes, me too. In the northeast the temperature was 95 degrees when I got in my car this afternoon. I work with many repugs and made sure to point out that they cannot deny climate change anymore. They did not disagree with me! Happy sweltering Autumn!

(6,110 posts)Temps dropped into low 70's for high, and there was that wonderful cool wind coming off-shore.
Plus lots of cooling rain. We just parked on the back porch Lanai all day!

(10,833 posts)My husband read they've officially called it a drought. We've been in the 90s+ for at least 3 weeks without a spit of rain. Presumably, there's a front coming in with rain sometime this weekend. And cooler temps. Thank God!

(10,833 posts)100 degrees, this according to my weather bug. Think the prediction was a cool 97 degrees. It's still 87 degrees at 8:30 pm. So glad Climate Change is all a big old hoax!
Tomorrow we're suppose to hit a high of 98. Good to know I can catch up on my suntan in early October.

(6,110 posts)at this time of year. It proves that weather changes! There is no such thing as exact same temp on a certain calendar day. Chances are on Oct 2nd 2020 you will be cooler than today.
Here south of Jacksonville, FL, it is much cooler today (high 80) than it has been all last week, when it was near 90 every day.
peggysue2
(10,833 posts)In that, I was kidding. But this year and each year that has progressed in the last fifty years have shown real and documented shifts in temperature, storm intensities, rainfall, etc. It's not simply weather change. It's Climate Change making itself felt and known, something that will have a profound effect on every living thing on the planet.
We ignore these changes at our own peril. Not to mention a sustainable environment for the future.

Hear a cold front is coming! That'll knock us down a bit! It's been the hottest September in Austin on record!

(3,493 posts)If we could lower that by ten degrees and keep it year round, Id be good with that. Fall temperatures start tomorrow though.
