Lately I’ve noticed that his closeups show that his nose is pitted and his skin doesn’t look healthy.

The orange color of his skin makes me lean toward the spray tan. You have to cover your eyes for that. When I was a teenager, our solution for that when we laid out on the beach was a pair of empty cleaned-out walnut shells. They fit perfectly over the eye sockets and they do keep out the bright light.
