I understand that profanity offends some people and makes even those not offended

uncomfortable just because they know it offends others. But, I also understand that "bleeping out" or substituting acronyms or euphemisms for Donald Trump's public profanities is, in a sense, shielding him from the consequences of his own ignorance and intemperance.Trump has publicly used the following language:

Bullshit
Shithole
Ass
Pussy
Fuck
Motherfucker

The press should pronounce and spell out these terms or not report "what Trump said". Most who will be offended or uncomfortable will understand the true source of their discomfort. And, as for the few who will refuse to blame Trump for his own filthy mouth, I think Mr. DeNiro said it best: "Fuck 'em!"

He doesn't care, only people who object to gender-based expletives mind, and frankly I would much prefer not to have it constantly repeated, as you've done 3 times now.

it's about the people that are not attached to their TV to know and hear exactly what the president is saying. By covering up his bad words is shielding him from people who would be royally ticked if they heard it on the news.

I understand you don't like his words but covering for him is doing the country no favors. There are millions of people who haven't even heard todays rant, would you rather they be clueless?

Edit: Not all people that voted for him speak like him. That is a very broad brush you used.

Frankly it is a word that puts out a specific message about the user and the circumstances and the shock of it. The same for the rest of the expletives. Taking the words out changes the intent and the message.

Trump uses profanity pretty regularly and then republicans object to dems using similar language. It's wildly hypocritical and I can't grasp why Trump supporters refuse to acknowledge that.

Personally, I work with sailors. I don't give a shit about profanity.
