(586 posts)but this is right, he does seem to have been involved in several Ukraine situations.
Here's a unique idea, why don't you guys try to get elected by appealing to US voters? Why do you require foreign interference to win elections? Btw, dems have never stooped to that level & never will!

(38,002 posts)Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey posed the questions in a letter to Perry as House Democrats push forward with their impeachment inquiry into whether Trump used a July 25 phone to pressure Ukraine to investigate his political rival former Vice President Joe Biden. It comes as a widening array of administration officials face questions about their potential role in the affair, including Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Attorney General William Barr.
~snip~
The redacted whistleblower complaint that the White House released last week mentioned Perrys attendance at the inauguration of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying he led the U.S. delegation there in May after Trump told Pence not to go. The whistleblower added that U.S. officials had "made clear" that Trump himself would not meet with Zelensky until he saw how the Ukrainian leader "chose to act."
Perry also figures into a subpoena that House Democrats sent on Monday to Trumps private attorney Rudy Giuliani, including a demand for records of the secretary's trip to Zelensky's inauguration and any communications the Energy Department may have had regarding two phone conversations between the Ukrainian leader and Trump.

(296 posts)dear PBMUS, the phrase "comes out" can have SOOO many inferences! Part of me was hoping for something else, if only to watch Pence faint, and Donald's head explode!

(7,633 posts)DOE initiative on Artificial intelligence. So, he created and funded a new DOE office to spur that and fund initiatives. That part is a good thing. What was pretty funny is that he said he got the motivation to do that from president Trump and Ivanka... dont ask me how Ivanka knows anything about artificial intelligence...
