Impeachment is a 'coup'? Trump and Giuliani flunk civics class

This is so sad. The point of a coup d'état is to replace one government with another. In banana republics run by strongmen, that’s a matter of ousting one guy, typically one who likes to wear a uniform adorned with medals. In this country, however, the end result of an impeachment is the congressional equivalent of an indictment. And even if the Senate convicts and removes the president from office — something that has never happened — the office will be filled by the vice president from the same party.

In other words, impeachment isn’t designed to change who holds the reins in the federal government. It’s designed to hold individuals accountable for bad behavior, whether it be corrupt acts or abuses of power.

Because of that, he has no idea about the process. Being entirely clueless about the functions of government in this country, he reacts only to his feelings about what is going on. A fool.

floating that idea gets any traction means that a lot of people have little knowledge of civics, which is not good at all.

People need to understand that Trump is being held accountable and that the Republicans would still control the White House

At least a modicum of knowledge about logic and fallacies. We know that is not too complex a subject.

Once people can recognize a logical fallacy, that is when there can be a shift from manipulation, opinions and deflections. It is really simple and so fundamental. It is a road to more reliance on knowledge and facts, a transcendence of beliefs, if you will.

"Oh, that's a false equivalence there. That is obviously a fallacy of deflection." and so forth. You can't get much traction from Republican rhetoric and spin under those circumstances.

Keep talking. The more you talk the more people see your for what you are, an ethically bankrupt individual.
