over the last months, moving averages, Bollinger bands, various wave counts.
To some degree, markets do reflect sentiment among various sectors.
[trumpsters undoubtedly, anxiously looking around for more ways to goose up the market; regulatory cuts, etc., especially for Novemberr '19 off year elections].

Mostly bad economic news, supporting what forecasters were saying about a coming recession.

Yesterday's sell off was bout terrible manufacturing numbers that suggest US manufacturing is entering a recession. This morning that sell off continued. The new EU tariff news may accelerate things.
