Trump to unveil Medicare plan in bid to contrast Democrat rivals

President Donald Trump will outline his vision for the future of Medicare this week, contrasting plans with Democrats in a speech promising to strengthen the program for the elderly and disabled.

Trump is scheduled to travel to Florida on Thursday where he will deliver a wide-ranging speech on his administration's health policy, and announce an executive order regarding the Medicare system, titled "Protecting Medicare from Socialist Destruction."

Trump's remarks will focus on Medicare Advantage, a program in which private insurers including UnitedHealth Group Inc. and Humana Inc. provide benefits in place of the government, according to two people familiar with the matter. They spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss Trump's announcement before it is made public.

White House spokesman Judd Deere declined to share details of the announcement but said Trump would defend his record on health care.

9. My mom ,who's on Medicare says Advantage doesn't provide sufficient coverage Monthly rates are lower

but coverage is worse and you pay a lot more out of pocket. Trump needs to pay for those tax cuts for Billionaires somehow.Really stupid to do this during an election year. He's politically tone deaf.

Medicare Advantage is unworkable for those of us who go to warmer climes in winter. Hope he's not going to try and shoehorn us all into it! They CAN kick you off of it if your medical expenses are too high, as well. Impeachment can't come too soon!
