We all know that even if impeachment doesn't happen, a Democrat will be sitting in the oval office someday, it could be on January 21, 2021.
We all know you will change your tune on that day:
* Dissent will become patriotic again
* Turns out, Presidents aren't selected by God
* Wanting to impeach the President won't cause a civil war
* And the bar for impeachment will be lowered, you won't even need to commit a crime, it can just be about "cleansing the office"
Wouldn't it just be easier and more honest with everyone, including yourselves, if you just started to practice the rhetoric you're going to say in a couple years anyway either way starting today?

(11,746 posts)Is negativity an end in and of itself?
I cannot predict the future. I have a few things that I can control. The major thing that I can control is my own morale and my own attitude. Being negative will bring nothing good and "conservatives" spend lots of money trying to demoralize me. Why? When people.like me are demoralized then people like me tend to not vote. And if people like me are demoralize we tend to post negativity like "let's not kid ourselves" we're screwed. And when people like me post "let's not kid ourselves" we're screwed then other people like me tend to be demoralized and tend to not vote.
I am assuming that you are like me, but I don't know that either.
Never give up. I am a black belt in Shotokan. I am not a tough man and if I were to get into a fight I would lose. But I can tell you this. If you fight me you may win but you will not walk away without a serious injury.
Have that attitude.

(35,077 posts)I want Republicans to get a head start on the things they are going to start saying quite possibly on January 21, 2021 (Which means I am optimistic a Democrat will be President next election). I am asking to anyone who is lurking here, why wait, why not get that head start on it starting today?
Be the change. And I am including Republicans in that. They shouldn't feel like they need to wait for circumstances to change just so they change their philosophy.

(25,471 posts)Hence, the "Republicans" at the end.
I think you might be misreading the intent of the post.
I have been doing battle with a few prodoundly stupid cult followers on Facebook and I am totally disgusted.
I come here for sanity and I guess I failed to find it (referring to my own self not the opening post).
Sorry and thanks for the correction.

(4,373 posts)The country would vote on the expectations for newly elected officials.
-Socialized medicine
-Hard, restrictive gun control..
-Health care for everyone
-Immigration control
-90% americun mfg..done in house..
-Population control...
-Elimination of all sources of co2 producers..
The officials would be graded on the progress of these issues..
After one year a general vote would be taken..both at the state
and federal level...points would be awarded or taken away..and
these elected officials are either allowed to continue in their
positions..or they may find themselves walking down the road
kicking a beer can...talkin to themselves..
They know what we want, and they damn well better started
doing their jobs...

(25,471 posts)Population growth in the US is at an 80-year low.
If not for immigration, it would be zero. That's been the case for several years.
