A "coup" has already happened.

Fortunately for America, it is only a "partial coup".

Russia has taken over the Executive Branch of the US Government. It is difficult to admit to such an unbelievable occurrence.

But, otherwise, why all the secrecy? Why all the lies? Why all the obstruction? Why hide all the facts? Why restrict people from talking to Congress?

It could be argued that Russian propaganda, spearheaded by Donald Trump, has divided our nation into tribal camps. They now control a large part of our government, including our Justice Department and a large part of the House of Representatives. The Republicans in the US Senate have mostly surrendered to the wishes of their president.

There is only one entity that is preventing a full "coup" of our government at this time. It is the Democratic Party in the US House. Without them, our nation would have already collapsed.

a word Churchill was saying anymore than "get" his replies to Trump on Twitter. Trump, himself, would never "get" any response by Churchill on Twitter. He probably wouldn't even know who Churchill was. Seriously, he's already shown ignorance of "names" almost as well known as Churchill.

I've known several younger men with his eating and exercise habits who've had heart attacks, not to mention those in much better shape...It truly has to be "lucky genes." I'm afraid we can't count on a heart attack to disable him ( I don't wish death on anyone). A debilitating stroke would work, as well (if we would be able to tell).

Yes, they ran an information war on social media against the Democratic Party...but I don't think that had nearly as much of an impact as voter suppression. I think the establishment and media focus on Russia to blame for Trump instead of actual Americans on the Right who used their positions in swing states to discount millions of votes.

I am not here to dissuade anyone from voting, nor to extinguish hope. I would just like to say to all that I hope you have a backup plan to merely voting. IMHO it won't be enough. And oh BTW don't expect Republicans in the Senate to suddenly have a change of heart and rekindle a fond love of "America". The downfall of trump for the Republican party and the installation of a Democratic President will open the danger of them being publicly exposed (for which many of us already privately suspect) of being at the behest of putin. I would bet any money that the conquering of America through the purchase of the GOP and it's related entities (i.e. the NRA, the Southern Baptist Convention, Fox news, etc) by putin was far cheaper than any conventional war could have been.

We are in the shit

Nothing was done about that travesty of rat-fucking of the constitution. We had to stop the counting of votes, or W Bush would be harmed.

Instead, under W, who COULD NOT be harmed, we invaded and completely destroyed a foreign country based on LIES.

Nothing was done about that.

We committed actual torture on foreign combatants, as the moral leader of the world, the FUCKING UNITED STATES OF FUCKING AMERICA, thereby sinking to the level of dictators, tyrants and thugs.

Nothing was done about that.

Nixon was given an easy out, never being held accountable. But at least many of his enablers WERE, and went to jail.

This time, if WE don't hold their feet to the fire, the turd will float into retirement, while his enablers get away scot-free, knowing they can do it all again, BECAUSE THEY CAN.

Wed Oct 2, 2019, 04:57 PM
Oct 2019

Hyperbole of this sort is kinda silly. Might sell newspapers, though...

1. Our government wasn't overthrown. Donald Trump stole an election with help from Russia.

2. Trump didn't seize power from the government. He abused the office of the presidency to coverup crimes, enrich himself, and to aid his re-election.

3. Violence was not used in the process. Threats if violence were common, but no actual violence was committed against the government or any of its officers. If they had actually engaged in violence, that would have been a coup, and the military and the intelligence community would hav stepped in.
