It exists in very many places.

I've seen an occasional movie that purports to have someone completely removed from the public record, but that's simply not possible and hasn't been for a very long time now. Other people have electronic copies of whatever. You can't pull every single high school yearbook that shows someone. And so on.

I think the underlying problem is that those who might think they can remove all information about whatever simply don't understand how things work anymore.
