Sick fuck

"Privately, the president had often talked about fortifying a border wall with a water-filled trench, stocked with snakes or alligators, prompting aides to seek a cost estimate. He wanted the wall electrified, with spikes on top that could pierce human flesh. After publicly suggesting that soldiers shoot migrants if they threw rocks, the president backed off when his staff told him that was illegal. But later in a meeting, aides recalled, he suggested that they shoot migrants in the legs to slow them down. That’s not allowed either, they told him."

...horrified by such remarks. Many Dems make such statements regularly. If they truly believe that, they severely overestimate the Republican electorate.

Not only does a large percentage of the US population cheer such remarks, they would like to watch (brown-skinned) migrants get tortured. 50+ years of increasingly cruel and unhinged rhetoric (and policy) has created a monster. Of course, dehumanization and hatred for persons of color goes back much further, but we'd be in a much better place well into the 21st century if the Republican Party hadn't taken the path that it did over the last half century. That's what made Trump possible. It's probably best if Democrats and the media be blunt and honest about that. The Republican electorate represents an epidemic, and it will outlive Trump, who is merely a symptom. Joe Biden says there are many really good Republicans and suggests all will be well if we get rid of Trump. He's wrong, plain and simple.
