I'm using one for this traitor. Judging by previous results, either they worshiped this guy in his district or it's as glowing red as it gets.

There's a good Democrat that's looking to run against him but poor thing hasn't much of a chance of winning. Meaning, there'll be some GOP old boys that will swoop in with a replacement candidate. I just hope those bastards, Empower Texans, don't bankroll some lunatic. They tried that around here last election. Thankfully, it didn't work.

It's also possible that a substantial portion of the rock-ribbed Republican base has gotten sick and tired of the incredible corruption of their party. I for one am dedicated to letting them know all about it for the next 13 months. I'm always eager for amazing candidates, but running a candidate who's merely adequate will be good enough for Republicans to have to spend some time and money defending a safe seat. And that's an expenditure of finite resources that they won't have to spend in other, competitive races.

the GOP. They have absolutely no frontal cortex when it comes to thinking of what might be different or better if they voted for someone other than a right winger.

No idea which way he would vote, but this releases him from having to tow the RW talking points to the Nth degree.

Coincidence on timing though. I doubt it.
