The rats are finally deserting a sinking ship?

Moscow Mitch capitulating on the whistle-blower complaint and House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer releasing a statement condemning what the whistle-blower seems to have found seem to indicate the damn has broken (to mix metaphors with the OP).
