The whistle blower was almost assuredly a Trump appointee.

he has made no argument whatsoever as to why the complaint shouldn't be forwarded to Congress as the law requires. And in fact, all of his comments would lead a rational person to conclude, that, if what he says is true, forwarding this "partisan" complaint would just result in it all blowing up in the face of the Democrats.

So, this coupled with his comments about not saying anything "inappropriate", "I don't know who the whistleblower is" and "investigate Biden" confirm that he has likely done something illegal concerning a quid pro quo and everything he is saying is complete bullshit aimed at his cult.
