Of course there is something wrong. The military can not permit itself to have its legitimacy compromised by the corrupt conduct of a rogue president.

I can hardly wait to find out how the kickback scheme was set up.

So he directs the Air Force to purchase fuel at Prestwick, to keep the airport near his golf course running.
The story won't turn out to be that personnel stayed at Turnberry. It'll be that Trump was propping up Prestwick to protect Turnburry.
