The asshole strikes again!!!

"Trump aims to open vital U.S. forest to logging, drilling, mining ...Plus, Deportation threatens life of immigrant who helped FDA research"

"Rachel Maddow reports on the Trump administration's loosening of restrictions on methane, and plans to open the Tongass National Forest in Alaska to logging, mining, and drilling, despite a report by Trump's own USDA describing the vital role of the forest in the context of the world's climate."

federal land and environmental protection regulations, policies and management plans of the past 4+ decades. He is overseeing an outright assault on hard won, deliberate, scientifically conceived and prudent conservation measures that Congress and former administrations have enacted or put in place in the face of daunting corporate and myopic local public opposition/opponents who favor extractive uses for profit over every other alternative. Regulations, laws, policies and resource management plans put in place to ensure the sustenance and conservation of clean water and air; healthy, vibrant ecosystems; and national as well as regional natural treasures of immense uniqueness, significance and importance for a variety of uses and purposes.

Another example happening right now is the bulldozing of lands in Organ Pipe National Monument to prepare ground for construction of tRump’s bullshit, purposeless wall which began only a week ago specifically at the shit-for-brain’s orders. That’s how insidious this lame ass excuse for a human’s agenda is. He specifically singled out a fragile but important ecosystem to set bulldozers loose on his wall construction. As I understand it, he also hand-picked the contractor. Google it for more.

I just saw them on a documentary on the forest service yesterday on youtube, The Greatest Good. I don't hear much about them.

Spikes or threats of spikes can slow down a logging operation but it's too hard to make it economically unviable for the company so that they'll leave.

I have no idea what's up with them. I haven't even looked at the group for 10+ years.

seeping through their pants because they're menstruating and issued only 1 sanitary pad a day. Can you fucking believe something like that is happening in our country???????

Editing to add: I said girls because the lawsuit seemed to be dealing with young girls. I imagine all pre-menopausal women are in this fix.

And how do we make them pay going forward?

If their profits were to be at risk by concerted efforts to boycott their products then maybe we could ameliorate the impacts. Or at least the motivations for their looting and pillaging.
