O.K., I haven't digested where he's coming from, and his reputation filtering down to my facile level is that he's a despicable version of SHITLER. And the previous time I played this thing from The University of YouTube I had it in the background and didn't get the drift of it all. I had previously heard out a few of Dame professor BEARD's videos, so my preconception was (and still is) to be on her side. But I was impressed that this BoJo person is not in the same category of *total* blithering idiot as SHITLER, able at least to face somebody on a level ground. But then, I've been impressed with the CSPAN features of the Brit prime ministers facing "questions" that our political leaders could never confront.

(21,786 posts)He is in fact worse than Trump in some ways; his public persona of slightly comical buffoonery is artifice. Here is a journalist called Jeremy Vine describing how he saw Boris give a speech at an awards dinner on two different occasions that pretty much sums this up: https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/columnists/article-7147799/JEREMY-VINE-reveals-saw-Boris-make-shambolic-speech-bring-house-down.html

(9,093 posts)He is an intellectual, highly educated, well-read, former editor of the Spectator - Trump can't even edit his own Tweets. Also, while Johnson might be on the right in the UK, he is more aligned with the Democratic Party than Republicans, for example, he supports amnesty for undocumented immigrants and he supports Britain's nationalized health service.
