BY ASSOCIATED PRESS 5:12 PM EDT
(FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn.) Police at the Minnesota State Fair say theyre investigating after a volunteer at the Republican Party booth reported being groped through her clothes after a political argument with another woman.
The 40-year-old GOP volunteer told police her assailant walked away after the incident Friday night.
The Star Tribune reports that State Fair police spokeswoman Brooke Blakey declined to say what part of the victims body was groped. The assailant was described as a woman in her 30s.

The partys state chairwoman, Jennifer Carnahan, told KSTP-TV that other people also have been hostile while visiting the booth. She says people have used foul language and obscene gestures against volunteers, cursed President Donald Trump and poured drinks on merchandise.

(115,735 posts)and it looked pretty lame, sparsely populated by the usual suspects - old white people. There were a couple of life-sized cardboard effigies of Trump and Pence you could take selfies with (I didn't get close enough to check whether the Trump cutout was actually 6'3" but knowing what bozos the GOP are they probably made it even taller). There was also a large sign pointing to "merchandise."
It didn't occur to me to go into the booth to confront those morons, since it wouldn't make any difference and would just piss me off, so I walked away, bought and ate a Pronto Pup instead.

"While no information was available about the political affiliation of the alleged suspect, Carnahan, without evidence, contended that she and her staff were "harassed and threatened by Democrats." "

(937 posts)If we walk by their booth, I will say something, sans profanity. I fly out to take mom to fair every year. Last year Tim Walz and Peggy Flanagan at the DFL booth. Great energy. Did not see the rethug booth last year. My favorite is the corn 🌽. Delish. Mom loves her mini donuts and cup of coffee to get the day started. ?️ The MN state fair!! AZ state fair is a sad sad thing. We go anyway.
