Steve King Is Broke And Has Been Abandoned by His Colleagues as He Runs for Re-Election

As he gears up for a difficult re-election cycle, Rep. Steve King’s campaign is strapped for cash. Individual donations to the Iowa Republican are down considerably from past cycles and support from corporate donors and King’s own colleagues have vanished entirely.

King has not received a single contribution this year from a political action committee associated with a sitting member of Congress. Corporate PACs and interest groups have also completely shunned him. Through the first six months of the year, King received just two contributions from third party political entities: $2,000 donations from PACs associated with two former members of Congress, Lamar Smith (R-TX) and the infamous Todd Akin (R-MO).

This man has no business being in Congress. Hopefully, the voters in his district are waking up to what a deplorable person he is.

I was kind of waiting for OmahaSteve here, but ---

King is being (creditably) primaried by several Rs -- AND, King won (against Dem - Scholten) by the narrowest margin (3 pts) of his career in the last election. Turning his district blue would be -- a REAL political coup

King raised only $91,000 in the last fundraising quarter that ended in June, compared to Iowa state Sen. Randy Feenstra's $140,000. Feenstra, the most prominent of three primary challengers to King, also raked in more money than the incumbent in the previous quarter.

"Steve, he's so strong, he goin roque" guessing he pretty damn rouge right now, just like Palin. Maybe they can run together in a "Roque Party". Extreme right and white. They would carry around 20 percent of mouth breathers. MAWA!! Let ya guess what that "W" stands for.
