Here's where we are.

His insane comments are getting worse by the day. I don't know if it is from an organic brain disease, mental illness, a personality disorder, dementia...I really have no idea what is causing this.

But it is apparent that whatever is causing this, it is getting worse. I used to think that he was just a horrible mean bastard, and I still think that, but there is something else going on with him that is compounding that meanness for a synergistic effect.

And it's going to continue to get worse...and worse and worse and worse.

Everyday we are going to be flabbergasted by something he does or says.

And you know what?

Not a goddamn thing is going to be done to remove him. The best we can hope for before election day is impeachment by the House. But that won't remove him, because the Senate will not convict him no matter what he does...and that includes shooting someone on 5th Ave. They won't convict...period.

I think he will get booted on election day by a landslide.

But the real worry is...what is he going to do until then? What diabolical crap is he going to come up with? It's still early in the campaign, and he's already lost his goddamn mind. What is he going to do when the pressure is REALLY hot?

Not me.

I will patiently support my leaders. I will not criticize, whine, bitch, moan. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are doing their jobs.

you don’t question the wisdom or opinions of the leadership and implying those who don’t act like you are somehow destroying the party.

In other words inferring that by taking a different stance we are destroying ourselves. Accusing, accusing, accusing everyone who doesn’t fall in line with your thinking of something bad.

Very much like Trump does.

You know that and I know you know that.

There is only the problem you have with the idea of discipline to achieve common goals and as I said your problem with that is your problem. Your gaslighting failed. Healthy people own their own issues and learn from them to make themselves better. Try it.

There's nothing undemocratic about telling your reps what you want them to do. Waiting silently for "leaders" to do the right thing isn't democracy, it's impotence.

You are as free to express your opinion as I am to express mine. My opinion is that we have a Nazi in the White House and therefore it is urgent that we have discipline and that we attack our enemy with all of our resources.

Alas I see Susan Sarandon is back.

"In conference call this afternoon, Pelosi told House Democrats, “the public isn’t there on impeachment," but repeated what she has said before about how growing clamor for it among members gives her "leverage." "If & when we act, people will know he gave us no choice."

I just don't see that as being either leadership or representation. Unless she feels obliged to represent the fence-sitters over the rest of us, as she apparently does.
If she ever does pull the trigger on impeachment she'll get no laurels from me.
I agree with you that this is urgent. bigtime.

Nancy Pelosi does have a lot of experience. You, by contrast, are an armchair quarterback on an internet b.s. board.

Nancy Pelosi put herself out there and has earned respect. You lob spitballs from the peanut gallery.

Susan Sarandon drives off a cliff.

I have no respect for that. None. And nothing you can say will convince me to respect your selfishness and lack of discipline.

You remind me of this old poem:

Herr lies the body of William Jay
Who died defending his right of way
He was right, dead right, as he sped along
But he is just as dead as if he was wrong

We are way past the point where you send Grandma to the nursing home because she tried to bake her cookies with laundry detergent instead of flour, and she never turned the oven off.

Trump was there months ago.

At some point, within the next few months, he will do or say something so unbelievable that no amount of "normalizing" can compensate. Then a cover story will be generated about how he is stepping down due to "exhaustion". The US media will tell us this as they show video of people carrying his unconscious (maybe even dead) body away.

Before he degrades too much physically, I want to see him carrying a plastic pink flamingo for a golf club, chasing a deflated soccer ball around the National Mall, wearing a pink tutu and faux gold tiara, while proclaiming, "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will be not be judged by the color of their hair, but by the content of their bank accounts. I have a hamberder today!"

Trump started his "presidency" on easy street, thanks to Obama......but now that he actually has to BE president, and deal with the fallout of his insane ideas, he cannot handle it. All his life he has been able to walk away from his messes but not this time. He's melting down because he knows the jig is up.

of some sort. He never should have been elected. The Republican Party have become nothing but traitors. They know he needs to be removed from office, but they refuse to do their jobs. They aren't upholding their oaths of office.

What we have is evidence that our system of government is broken. Completely broken. Who knows what destruction may take place before he can be removed from office by the next election (if there is one).

We are in one helluva mess in this country and I am not convinced that we will ever come back from this mess.

I do not know if he and close friends are just shorting markets manipulating industriy trends for profit Some crazy swings for oil, tech etc. after a big high I do know that building walls , keeping refugees with out processing and creating another entity of holding separately for children is very profitable , just like prisons, who knows his kick backs and funders let alone tax cut bribes
His family and friends palm greased for back room deals with leaders like MBS
Maybe too many are making money from the trumpreign for him to be booted They are invested
When he goes they should go too I can only wish

Or is this his pinnacle time of years with wrestling shows , realty show cliff hangers and being a conman casino showoff millionaire braggart perfected to supreme slick for the masses and he loves that everyday so many look at his crazy shit show on earth . The most talked about is when he acts out and the actions do rival his wrestling mania schtick
Or,maybe he’s going all crazy dictator . Hang on Lucky it may get crazy train plus there are his asshole believers
I’m conflicted because I also claim this as an option :
