General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI've one thing to say regarding Clint Eastwood and Romney.
Romney is said to be a friend if Eastwood. I call bullshit on that. You don't do something like that to your friend.
Romney used him and made a fool out if him. All in hopes of catching a bit of his shirttail.
Tonight will leave a mark on Eastwood's legacy. While I neither love the man or hate him as an actor, I can feel the unbalance of what took place tonight.
Romney, and his camp, are jerks for exploiting him like that.
Yeah, I know Eastwood's an adult and made the choice. I'm not letting him off the hook for his decision. Which does nothing to negate the fact Romney, his supposed friend, used him to attempt to further his goals, and turned him into a laughingstock.

Luckily, I'm not a fan so nothing was lost in my respect. Still, that was unpleasant to witness.

(42,760 posts)It is of no importance to him who he uses in any way to get what he wants. Just look at all the lives he has ruined with all the companies he shut down. He could not care less what became of the former workers of those companies whose lives he devastated. Eastwood may not be aware of it right now but I suspect it will sink in sooner or later that he was used and played for a fool.

I also agree, there's no way the negative backlash won't reach Eastwood. He'll eventually be forced to realize he was used.
