Uh-oh. President Trump is in such a state of panic about his dimming reelection prospects that hes getting his lies mixed up and occasionally blurting out the truth.
Its tough for Apple to pay tariffs if its competing with a very good company [Samsung] thats not, the president told reporters Sunday flatly contradicting the ridiculous and utterly false narrative that he has spent months trying to sell. Trump apparently forgot his standard lie that China is somehow paying billions of dollars in tariffs, acknowledging instead that they are taxes paid by U.S. companies and, ultimately, the American consumer.
This reflects more than just the difficulty of juggling multiple lies. Evidence suggests that Trump is melting down. Again.
And for good reason.

(25,905 posts)It's that he always believes whatever he says when he is saying it. He has no concept of any kind of factual truth. He simply makes up whatever he wants, whenever he wants. And if five minutes later he says something totally different, he has already forgotten the first statement and is convinced that whatever just came out of his mouth is true.
He's also remarkably ignorant. No sense of history, let alone more subtle subjects like math, geography, or, I dunno, plate tectonics. It would be very interesting to see his actual grades from any point in his school years. Or to read a paper he wrote. If said paper is in anyway coherent, I'd tend to think he didn't write it. It's obvious he has basically never read a book. He may not have even bothered with the Cliff Notes.
And never forget that he is serenely convinced that he is always the smartest person in the room.
