She died two years ago of a heart attack. She was 89. She rambled, she got a bit befuddled with the windshield wipers on her car. She would forget how to turn them off and had to call my Dad and ask him what to do. It happens to everyone eventually but it was embarrassing to watch a once great actor look really out of it.

It might explain why his latest film is the first in a long time that he only acted in as opposed to directed and acted in.
