Help! everytime I go to DU on my iphone, I get this stupid thing about I can get a Visa

gift card or a Walmart giftward. I had this problem before and I remember some other peoplel did. When this thing comes up, I can't make it go away. Anybody know how I can get rid of it?

3. It's not an ad OP is talking about.

It's a redirect cookie from a malicious website or infected router.
Deleting Safari data rectifies the issue.

Which on the iPhone is “history and website data” under Safari. I also completely turned the phone off after I do this for a few minute. I’ve never gotten that message from DU, but I’ve gotten other weird stuff from other websites

5. I have occasionally accessed the site via my wife's Ipad,

and it keeps redirecting me to another page, some dirtbag bs chance to win giftcard sweepstakes survey comeon. Like Ed McMahon is taking her Ipad over. I keep going to 'history' and reloading the DU page, and it keeps taking over the page.

6. Turning off JavaScript is the only way

7. I had the same problem since last night

On only DU. Mostly if you can get past the home page fast enough your ok for a bit.
Deleted history several times but it kept coming back. Have not tried turning off phone for a bit or Java.
I finally started using a different browser than safari. No more problem since then.

And only on DU. I’ve cleared cookies and still have it pop up frequently. I think maybe DU is infected with something.

8. I had that problem on my android phone a while back

I stopped it by downloading the adblock browser from google play and using it instead of chrome. no more hijacks. Hope this helps

10. I suggest you send a msg to the Administration

If there is a bad server/malware, they need to know.

I use AdBlock Browser to read both Buzzfeed sites.
Buzzfeed has a ton of items for sale & I would get that type of phishing attempt as well.
Buzzfeed* does* have topics I'm interested in, so going there thru adblock is worth my time.
