When Ted Lieu says "let's hope," he's basically telling you "Here's what's going to happen."

And if you need further proof, he tagged Uncle Billy.

Ted Lieu
@tedlieu

This is either another colossal screw up by the @realDonaldTrump Administration, or something nefarious happened. @HouseJudiciary Committee has oversight over the Fed Bureau of Prisons. Let's hope @TheJusticeDept won't obstruct Congress from looking into the death of Epstein.

There are a whole bunch of naysayers on DU and those mocking anyone suggesting that Epstein's death is suspicious and that DU is full of Conspiracy Theorists.

Bullshit.

Epstein's death is unfathomable and there is nothing about this that doesn't stink to high hell.

He had to die and not talk. The question is who and how was made sure. We may never know. But intelligent thoughtful people all see the same suspicious circumstances and know that there are reasons many wanted him dead.

There's no getting away from that. This stinks from every possible angle, and a person doesn't need to be a conspiracy theorist to see it.

Someone who has already attempted suicide once while incarcerated is put on suicide watch, an escalated high level suicide watch. Especially given these charges and circumstances. It stretches credulity beyond the horizon to believe anyone in those circumstances could pull it off.

We aren't in tinfoil hat sporting territory here. No way SOP for these types of prisoners could have been 100% adhered to and still the prisoner topped himself. It just doesn't happen.

Unfortunately, we're in bizarro Hollywood script sensations here. Feels like a shitty movie rather than real in many respects. Lieu is absolutely spot on.

That's not what's behind it, IMHO. Epstein had powerful friends who didn't want him talking.

the mob bosses never kill anyone themselves....... eventually down the line is some prison worker that knows something about this. Find that person, get them to talk, follow the ladder up to the top

Without calling it a conspiracy, he details the extent to which this facility’s personnel and procedures go to prevent suicides.

This is either staggering and apparently unprecedented incompetence, or something fishy. The public — and, more importantly, Epstein’s victims — deserve answers, and quickly.

It's something Wilson re-tweeted, and it is CLEARLY a joke, CLEARLY satire of the whole "Q" mindset, but I tread lightly on the "no right wing conspiracy posts" thing here, even if it's obviously satire.

voice mails (Lui's my Rep. and obviously Senator Harris is my Senator) NOT let this investigation go away! Just because Epstein's dead DOES NOT mean that the other sickos AND the enablers should get away with this. I feel pretty darn sure that reporters are going to be on this like there's no tomorrow.

worse if they end up trying to obstruct. I suppose Trump can put Barr on it and have him limit the scope of any investigation to only the Clinton's and his base will accept it somehow.

That person is the only one with authority to take Epstein off suicide watch and must document why in a report, per the DOJ's manual for handling suicidal prisoners.
