He wasnt facing the death penalty but would have certainly gotten life in prison. I couldnt see a prosecutor deviating that far down even if he had started naming nameshe already caught a huge break previously and no DA office is going to repeat the same mistake twice. The PR would be horrendous for them.
Epstein knew he was going to prison for the rest of his life, and nothing he could do would change that.
Any juicy info is in the coverup, not from him. Nothing is stopping an investigation of that from continuing.

(101,320 posts)An investigation of "wouldn't it be good to find out what happened?" is a lot easier to shut down. As is "is there anyone else we should charge?".
