What Republicans would do if Dem started trade war with China
If there was a Democrat in the White House who started this tariff trade war with China with the election being 15 months away, here's what the Republicans would do. The GOP front runner, or the GOP national committee head would meet with Chinese leadership and make a deal. Keep the trade war going so a significant recession hits and we'll win in 2020 and we'll guarantee you a better deal on day 1 of our administration.
This would be sleazy and wrong, and would hurt people, but it is 100% what they would be doing. Not saying the Dems should do this, but getting Trump out before he destroys the country might be worth a severe recession.
