1. Don't believe a thing he says.

He changes with the wind and whenever someone offers him something. Now, he's trying to conflate immigration reforms he wants to taking any action whatsoever on the gun violence epidemic that he has weaponized for his own purposes. BS. If there is anything good in there, it will be removed so it's only the hate and destructionn that survives. Repugs and he will ensure that. Democrats, don't bite, ignore the pretend bait.

2. Dems do need to tread carefully as they work with Republicans for new solutions.

Dems just want gun control, but the Republicans will find a way to weaponize the law to continue targeting people they don't like.

3. Repugs don't want solutions.

So any pretense allowed by McConnell should be very closely examined for big landmines to hurt working class, poor & immigrants even more than what is currently happening. McConnell will allow nothing good to pass and neither would be president sign anything good for us.
