Gonna go on record here

When I was young. I played the most violent video games you can think of. Grand Theft Auto, Mortal Kombat, and so forth. Never once did I feel the need to kill someone. I watched violent movies growing up, never once felt the need to hurt another person.

I'm so tired of this bullshit rhetoric. Video games, lack of prayer, movies are not the cause. Mix serious mental issues along with getting access to highly dangerous firearms is the perfect combination for a mass shooting. Attack both at their points. Limit people on what types of firearms a person can purchase and also treat guns like you treat a person that needs opioids. A doctors referral that they are mentally capable of owning a firearm.

It's not video games. In fact, they provide a cathardic release of frustrations and prevent attacks. TheBlackAdder Aug 2019 #6

the violent sport of hockey! Actually, as you know, it's not as rough as it used to be when goons roamed the ice.

Agree with your points above.

Also I am a responsible gun owner as well. But I do not own anything short of bolt action. I have no need for an AR-15. I also have depression and personality disorders to go along with it. But I got a lot of help with my issues. It also shows mental health doesn't go far enough either in this country.

Young man. This video game bullshit is a weak tea excuse.

Other countries have video games and mentally ill people. The thing they do not have is gun crazy assholes who hate their fellow countrymen.

I still play violent games to this day. I work for coca cola as a delivery man. So the whole ridiculous thing of blaming everything but the source. Gun availability and lack of proper mental health in this country

However we are talking about a few shooters to millions of gamers. Either to make statistics say whatever you want. Mentally Ill people will shoot up people whether they play games or not.

I have thought quite often that one of our greatest problems as a nation is that we value gun care & health control instead health care & gun control.

Even if gun control isn't possible. Start going for the heath side of it. Like how you need doctors notes for medications. Have them from a registered psychiatrist that someone is allowed to own a firearm. I'm sure it won't go far but it's a huge start to start looking into peoples mental state.

.

There have been numerous academia-reviewed studies, since the original Wolfenstein, that refuted those claims.

Like given I got my anger out by doing MMA classes or even just painting. Video games do help relax your brain.

They all just want to blame it on something EXCEPT assault weapons or high capacity magazines! We ALL know better.
