Michelangelo Signorile replies to Trump's "Melania & I send thoughts & prayers to El Paso" tweet

Michelangelo Signorile
@MSignorile

Replying to @realDonaldTrump

But you inspired the hate. And you know it.

You love it. You love that a supporter obsessed with you took up your call to take on the “invaders,’ which you called them and he called them.

You are the leader of this white supremacist movement.

Mass shooting in El Paso is deadliest in 2019, among worst in modern U.S. history

The massacre in El Paso is the deadliest shooting in the U.S. in 2019. The number of people killed makes it one of the 10 worst in recent American history.

Aug. 3, 2019, 8:11 PM EDT
By Phil Helsel and Kalhan Rosenblatt

The mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, on Saturday, that left at least 20 people dead and 26 injured appears to be the deadliest shooting in the United States this year.

It also falls into the top 10 deadliest mass shootings in modern American history.

a few hours ago. I bet he and Stephen Miller are having a party as a result of today's mass murder which they are indirectly responsible for. These sick bastards get off on this. If they were the victims of American terrorists I would NOT be giving them my thoughts and prayers (and not due to my being an atheist).

deflect this latest massacre, as they did columbine, sandy hook, and so on, so nothing can be done once again

On Monday there's a 20-1 chance your local talk radio station will say we need more guns

1000 -1500 RW talk radio stations, or an average of 20-30 per state, will be making the usual excuses for why everyone needs guns and that this is just one more excuse for Democrats to take your guns away.

They've been doing that successfully since Columbine. Why no action even after Sandy Hook? Largely because all those radio stations spout the same NRA talking points.

260+ of the loudest of those stations are Limbaugh stations and depend on 88+ American universities and numerous pro sports teams continuing to broadcast sports on them so they can use their logos to attract advertising to pay for all this.

This is REALLY fucking stupid. Artificial intelligence suddenly makes it easier, faster, and cheaper by an order of magnitude to digitize and monitor talk radio and list their advertisers with contact information. With little listening required.

If any of these schools is protested for this and starts looking for apolitical alternatives the GOP will freak out, media will notice, and advertisers will flee.

All these universities need to be asked if they support global warming denial, Trump, racism, etc. Other universities will be shamed into following.

Dubya taking time out of his golf game to address an episode of Middle East terror:

The main difference is that Dubya talked directly to the press, and didn't have an aide tweet his message.
