and talked about watching from his office in Trump Tower and hearing reports from his "people" in his building downtown (which, he noted, had been the second tallest building but was now the tallest building downtown) about what it was like down there. So that would seem to suggest that he wasn't at ground zero. Then he talked about running for president.

He also mentioned talking to someone who saw people jumping from windows (at about the 4:55 mark), which in more recent years has slipped to him saying he actually saw people jumping himself.
