My guess is something in the air circulation system. This is an Airbus 330. Over the years there have been numerous instances where flight attendants and passengers have complained about fumes of an unknown origin, detected in the cabin. The best description I heard was the odor of "dirty gym socks." I have no idea as to what dangerous impurities they were inhaling. Maintenance, as far as I know, could not exactly isolate this problem. If any of my fellow DU members are aircraft mx people, and you can better educate me on these details, then please do it.

Knowing American Airlines (they practically own DFW airport), this comes as no surprise all. I NEVER take them intercontinental.
