Can’t even go to a food festival in this country without fear of being shot.

At least three people were killed and several more were injured in a shooting at a garlic festival in Gilroy, Calif., on Sunday afternoon, a city councilman said.

The councilman, Dion Bracco, said in an interview that three people had been killed and 12 had been injured in Gilroy, which is about 30 miles southeast of San Jose. He did not know whether the number of injured victims included the three fatalities.

The number of victims could not immediately be confirmed by the police.

Mr. Bracco added that one suspect was in custody.

Or so the guitar player thought it looked like, and also said shooter was Caucasian male 30-40 years old. One confirmed dead.

It's crazy to think this happened. It's crazy that I skipped it this year because it was too hot.

Everything is crazy everywhere.

I've driven through twice, I think. We didn't stop -- but it definitely is famous.

I'm so sad.

...the Lemon Festival in Goleta, and so on. The Strawberry Festival in Santa Maria must be similar, but too far away.

Damn it just makes me cry -- these evil fckrs come to us in our moments of community and joy and rob us of them.

I'm so deeply sorry for everyone effected. My heart breaks once again tonight.

We usually go every year, but it's too hot.

It was too hot for them and they played more costal. I'm so relieved!

My heart hurts for the loss of life. It's such a fun festival, nothing political or anything like that.

Until the American people repeal the second amendment these will continue at 1-2 per week. Most of the mass shootings are family related.

Had plans to go, but my husband balked at the last minute because “it’s too hot.” I was a little pouty about it because I was really looking forward to it. Then this happened. Unbelievable. A fun, family-friendly event — WHY?!
