(31,261 posts)Do the crawl over the ground, live in nearby woods or fields? Does a good pest control regimen keep them away?

(8,020 posts)its best to keep suitcases closed. Seems that motels near airports are more prone to infestation. When they first became a problem control was difficult as normal insecticides had limited results but I think they have better eradication methods now days, they use to use heat & freeze methods but I'm sure they have insecticides now days made to target and eliminate them.

We have seen two years of inspections of their kitchen and cooler in which they had multiple violations of wrong temperatures in the coolers, plus unsanitary kitchen area. If I remember correctly, one inspection report had over 30 violations. I saw the reports on DU, but can't find them when I want them.

But a former business associate told the Daily News that despite being a self-described clean hands freak and germaphobe, Trump has always been far more focused on creating an image for his properties than in spending what it takes to make them excellent.

(31,261 posts)on a bi-monthly basis (inside and out), an ant and occasionally a centipede or roach will get into a structure and end up killed by bait laid out by the pest control tech.
But I have never had bedbugs. Even as a dirt-poor boy, we never had bedbugs in my parent's house.

(63,221 posts)Fortunately, I have never experienced bedbugs and never hope to. And isn't the Doral supposed to be the crown jewel of all Trump's properties? You can just imagine how the other properties are maintained.

(9,426 posts)the yearly meeting of world leaders meet at Doral, so he can make $$$. President Obama had the meeting at Camp David. Wouldn't it be a hoot if some of the world leaders complained about the conditions, bed bugs etc??

(63,221 posts)That's just disgusting! Makes me not ever want to stay in a hotel again
Blue_true
(31,261 posts)Also, when you check into a hotel, check out the bathroom first, how poorly or well it is maintained tells you a lot about the rest of the hotel. The same rule goes for restaurants, if the bathroom is well maintained, the kitchen has a good chance of being well maintained.
