is up for confirmation for the 2nd highest military position in the land. Sen, Inhofe has scheduled a final hearing Tuesday, the last hearing before a full Senate vote.
Hyten has been accused of sexual assault by Col. Kathryn Spletstoser from episodes back in 2017 among which she accuses him of pulling her hand against his erection.
Now I don't know if Senators Schumer or Gillibrand are on the Inhofe committee, but I'm sure, even if they aren't on the committee, they will be calling for Hyten to withdraw his name, right?
If Hyten makes it through Tuesday I would hope that Schumer and Gillibrand and other Senators, both Democratic and Republican who called for Al Franken to resign will do the same for General Hyten.

(7,142 posts)Since Hyten wasn't investigated back when the assaults occurred he is presumed innocent until proven guilty, especially being military and all.
Al Franken was never investigated either but he was just USO, going out and entertaining the troops so even though no investigation was done on Franken, not being actual military, he is guilty until proven innocent.
