http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2012/08/30/paul-ryans-speech-in-three-words/*snip*
The good news is that the Romney-Ryan campaign has likely created dozens of new jobs among the legions of additional fact checkers that media outlets are rushing to hire to sift through the mountain of cow dung that flowed from Ryans mouth. Said fact checkers have already condemned certain arguments that Ryan still irresponsibly repeated.
Fact: While Ryan tried to pin the downgrade of the United States credit rating on spending under President Obama, the credit rating was actually downgraded because Republicans threatened not to raise the debt ceiling.
Fact: While Ryan blamed President Obama for the shut down of a GM plant in Janesville, Wisconsin, the plant was actually closed under President George W. Bush. Ryan actually asked for federal spending to save the plant, while Romney has criticized the auto industry bailout that President Obama ultimately enacted to prevent other plants from closing.

(4,325 posts)I can't believe that Fox would allow her to tell the truth especially since she is a lesbian and has a child. She is just so different from the majority of the reporters on Fox News
Do you think they will talk about this article on Fox News?

(22,920 posts)I usually see her comment on Facebook when she's going to appear on Fox. Of course, she rarely gets much time to actually make a substantial rebuttal.
Still, maybe her presence and arguments awaken some of the lemmings to another way of viewing things.

That's what Ryan's speech reminded me of, Blutarsky's speech in Animal House. These guys really, really don't care about facts.

But that is always the case with Republicans. They count on people not really paying that much attention.

How can you blame Obama for shutting down a plant then criticize him for saying GM didn't build that plant? If GM built the plant then aren't they at fault for closing it?
I also thought we had a huge debt and Obama was a fault now he is at fault for nto spending?

(13,992 posts)If you're looking for a coherent political philosophy or logical consistency, you've come to the wrong place. The point of the Post-Modern Republican Party is to a) win elections and b) lower taxes and cut regulations. There is no "Item C" on their agenda. The whole business about abortion and gay marriage? Just something to keep driving the sheep in fly-over country to the polls every November. National Security? They don't care, other than if you destroy enough tanks and planes, their defense contractor friends will get to build more massively over-priced weapons. And if some soldiers get killed in the process? Well, that's just the price of doing business, now, isn't it?
They are a thoroughly despicable lot.

I know it's been said before, but this really DOES need to go viral.
Edit: I posted this on face book less than thirty minutes ago, and it's been shared three times already.
Seriously. If you're on Facebook, post the link.

(6,045 posts)The Republicans know they can LIE & get away with it most of the time because we have an AWOL Press! The Republicans NEVER had to answer & have yet to answer the question of how they expect to lower the National Debt by lowering taxes?
They ran in 2010 on "JOBS JOBS JOBS" and not once voted on a jobs bill but voted 30-50 times on abortion bills & other none job related right wing BS...They have NEVER had to answer to that from the press either. While Obama has actually tried & succeeded in alot of his campaign promises & even tried & failed but he is constantly questioned by the press on immigration reform & other issues that were blocked by the GOP in both the House & Senate.
So, I am not so sure the GOP will be held responsible for all the LIES they have been telling the American people...And lets be honest here the folks who decide the elections is the small 5-10% who do not pay attention to politics until the conventions start & have no way of knowing who is really telling them the truth.
