for them and represent their interests. Hillary has a staff for example and she's semi-retired.

I had former Congressman Steve Israel come talk to my class at NYU, and it involved a lot of discussions with his Chief of Staff

A reporter reaching out to former officials is likely to know who works in their office.

Do you have any reason to believe she DOESN'T know?

They have producers and bookers who do that. I doubt that Wallace has talked to anyone's staff in years.

Could be difficult to determine (sans basic research tools) unless she awkwardly drops their names at irrelevant times in an attempt to appear more impressive than reality would have.

Thankfully, she seems much more humble and much less prone to pretense than many broadcast journalists.
