In our system the president is above the law. That’s the biggest revelation for me in this entire saga.

I’m not sure why anyone would want to live in a country whose leader can literally do anything they want without fear of any consequences other than bad press and approval ratings. This is a real blind spot in our democracy. And one that is also extremely dangerous for everyone.
