Will Mueller defend his honor next week?

The democrats are going to ask direct questions about what's in Muellers report. Hopefully Mueller will simply answer yes or no. Someone is going to ask Mueller about AG Barr. Barr back stabbed Mueller more than once about his report.

He lied about what the report said and then he insulted Mueller for not coming to a decision about obstruction of justice. Barr probably wanted Mueller to clear Trump on obstruction. Will Mueller refuse to answer questions about Barr? His history while testifying says he may.

Mueller's entire legacy is on the line next week. Let's hope the Marine shows up and not the person who has always refused to cross any lines while testifying.

This is a moment in history where Mueller must stand up and be the patriot he is. If he does not, Mueller's entire life work and legacy will be destroyed.

I'm less concerned with the manner in which he responds to questions from Democrats than I am of the inevitable Republican attempts to slime him.

How he answers the Democrats questions about what is in his report is the key.

Last week, I had the UNFORTUNATE pleasure of being over a friend's house helping her alter a dress for her parents 75th wedding anniversary, and she had CNN on.

Yeah, it's going to be DEMS fault if thuglicans turn Mueller's appearance into a shit show said one panelist. Another said (And forgive me, I don't follow CNN, so I don't know who this man was), "Why even bother having Mueller there, he said his report speaks for itself. He handed over the Mueller Report." Thank goodness a woman sitting next to him said that Hillary Clinton sat for 11 hours in front of the House Select Committee and was grilled on Benghazi by the GOP which ended up being a waste of time, so I'm guessing that Democrats feel that they have the right to at least ask Mueller a few questions about his 2 year/400 plus page report for a few hours that AG Bob Barr didn't read, yet he changed into the Barr Report in one day. I told my friend to please change the channel. I don't normally go over to folk's houses telling them how to run things, but I could not take CNN or some of the panelists stupid narratives any longer

I just believe that Mueller will do what he has said and simply repeat the
non redacted portions of the report...when he could (imo) be more honorable
and completely expand upon and explain the report results and Barr's influence
on the investigation. Hope I am wrong...

14. Agree. He's had two chances - his report and TV - to set record straight. He wimped out.

Mueller is not going to go beyond the information that was provided in the report. In his mind, the work was finished and he had provided everything necessary for the next team to step in, to investigate further if needed. Unfortunately Mueller still believes that our system of criminal justice works; when we the people are seeing every day that it is irretrievably broken.

The problem of course is that the "Department of Justice" is now owned lock stock and barrel by Trump, it is his pet police squad.

It is very unlikely we will ever see justice for Trump's crimes. Not impossible, but highly unlikely.

Trump and all his felons will be swept away. What they are doing and offering the American people is not sustainable. It will go bad and fall apart. They will pay a heavy price. Our country and democracy may be damaged but it will recover. Our country, our democracy is stronger than Trump. I believe that.

but Mueller is probably thinking

"Why am I responsible for citizens laziness to read or take action."?

The real question is why isn't he angry enough at Trump's attempted coup aided and abetted by either timid or corrupt congresspeople, to speak out directly? Why will congress have to drag it out of him? He should join Hayden, Clapper , Brennan and Comey as high profile denouncers of the wannabe dictator. This old Marine can make a difference but I'm not seeing it.
