Political Purgatory

Somewhere between where we've been and where we're going.

Like "rubber-neckers" at an automobile accident, we seem to have all slowed down to look at the wreckage along the road. How many people will be pulled from the wreckage? How many eyewitnesses do we have? Will the person responsible be held accountable?

Or, after the cops and the ambulances have left, will the responsible party be allowed to drive on down the road? Will he be given a warning and a slap on the wrist?

We wait patiently for next Wednesday, when Robert Mueller will tell us who was responsible? Will we learn anything or will we just continue on our journey to Election Day 2020?

I think he only sticks to reciting or referring to the report.
Doubt he offers any opinions or reasons for anything.
