EFF Membership Drive: Looking for 1,500 New Members (Protect Our Digital Rights)

.

Just like the ACLU, we need the help of the Electronic Frontier Foundation to protect our digital rights. They are a cool organization to be affiliated with, especially in the event some jerk tries to sue you or drop a SLAPP suit on your website.

On the websites that I had operated and will operate in the future, I always emblazon my EFF member badge on the upper part of the home page, notifying people that I not only support the EFF, but that they will be my legal representation if someone tries to hit me with a bogus copyright infringement claim.

They have kicked off their membership drive and are only a few hundred members away from their goal.

And, you have the option of getting cool swag while you are at it.

Thanks for the time.

I joined when they sided with Apple against the FBI in the San Bernardino terrorist case. The FBI was trying to force Apple to break into an iPhone and advocating "backdoors" in future products.

Many in law enforcement think strong encryption should be illegal or that government should own keys that break encryption. EFF is a leading opponent to attempts to weaken encryption. We need organizations like theirs!
