(15,805 posts)Cleaning the corrals early morning but it was still hot, no hat, no protective clothing, no water, but plenty of hard labor. It was sudden, I felt dizzy and then passed out. I was very disoriented, weak and couldn't stand up or walk. I just sat in the dirt, didnt know where I was or even what to do. Luckily I was surrounded by my horses who provided some shade until my husband came looking for me.
Went to urgent care for treatment. Ever since Ive had almost as allergic reaction to direct sun where I start getting that vertigo feeling and get nauseated, my skin will flush and feel very hot. So I dont dare go outside without a big hat or an umbrella, an oversized white shirt with long sleeves, or a gauzy caftan. And lots of water.

Heat related illness can be very deceptive. Heat stress, heat exhaustion, heat stroke can sneak up on a person and by the time they start to feel bad they are already in real danger. Please be careful when outside in heat and humidity. Drink water constantly. If you do start getting stressed out get into some shade, put cool paks in armpits or inside of thighs (where the big arteries are). If all you have is ice make sure to wrap it in a towel or something like that (bare ice on skin can be damaging). If you are wearing something on your head take it off as well as loosening up clothing. If it is to the point where dizziness, nauseous, vomiting it happening it is very serious, call 911 immediately.

(3,784 posts)Tell his friends and families not to worry, because he's not really dead. The excessive heat and humidity we're experiencing this summer is all just a Chinese hoax. He's probably just faking death because he was paid off by George Soros.
As ridiculous as that all sounds, how many of you would NOT be surprised to hear someone on Faux News actually say this? Or see #Dolt45 tweet it?
