I am beginning to feel a bit nervous about Trump walking away scott free?

I know I shouldn't, but man! Every time we think Trump gets tripped up and looks like we got him! He somehow has a way to sneak by! I just wonder where our government is at this point? Barr is allowed to poke his nose into everything legally. Trump's other staff goons do what they want and have broken more laws than any administration has before! I don't mean to be so glum, but what will this country look like in 2 years or even if Trump gets another term by cheating or other means. We need someone to come out and blow this open once and for all! If that person is out of the GOP or the DOJ? It is time for those who can, to put country over Trump and put an end to this fraud and con job by Trump and Putin! I will continue to keep my head up and pray that we fight through all this crap of Trump's!

the Democratic candidate. But, after 2016 and the ensuing years of McConnell and complicit Republicans blocking/ignoring election security I have GRAVE doubts as to the future validity of our Presidential elections. We all went to bed the last time assuming Hillary would be President in the morning. She won the popular vote but we are stuck with Trump. Putin and Co. are still hard at work and will be working overtime on 2020. I am no longer automatically assuming that our elections are reliable, not manipulated, and that they will somehow save us. I sincerely hope I am wrong.

he's white, rich, male and knows people in high places so I'm guessing he will walk away, although I seriously doubt it will be totally "scott free".

It doesn't mean that law enforcement, or people who believe that true justice should cover everyone, should give up gathering evidence and putting our cases before the courts and the America and the world in every way we legally can though.

More importantly we MUST push harder than we ever have to get out the numbers out to vote against him and every single racist obstructionist Republican to overwhelmingly push them far far far out power.

He is too ignorant to feel embarrassment, or shame. Indifference, ignoring him, and never covering him in the media ever after he leaves office will just about kill him, though. That's what the media should be doing now but they won't.

It's always been my belief he will get a diagnosis of dementia shortly before he leaves office giving a President Pence an excuse to give him a general pardon for any possible criminal charges out of compassion for his family. Trump will continue to bloviate from the golf course and his cult members will continue to create havoc in any way possible.

11. Call For Him To Resign....
Fri Jul 19, 2019, 09:22 PM
Jul 2019

He's a self proclaimed sexual predator. He's grabbed, raped and pawed many women. Al Franken resigned for less - a staged pic. What happened to the MeToo movement? Why isn't immense pressure put on Trump to resign? Mitch can't save him from this. He's expecting impeachment and knows he's safe because of Mitch. These crimes Mitch can't save him from. I don't believe Trump can talk his way through all the accusations against him for these sexual assaults. If the pressure is kept on Trump for this - I believe he'll go down. Why isn't this happening? Why are we letting Trump get away with this when so many other high profile men are taken down.

I've posted this before here on DU. Search DU for calling for Trump's Resignation and see all the accusations against Trump for these crimes and also a few videos.

If he isn't held accountable and is left free, we will have to deal with him for the rest of his life.

His agreement for financial funding from Putin was to do EVERYTHING HE CAN to completely destroy the American democratic system.

He won't shut up, even if he has to do it from Saudi Arabia (per Jared's arrangements). I think Putin would tire of him quickly, and disappear him, if he went to Russia.

And his minions will continue to support him, no matter where he is.

He needs to die in jail, with no communication with the outside, or executed for treason.

I can't imagine a prosecutor with enough guts to put trump in prison. I'm not saying that I agree with that notion, but it would be shocking for the world to see us prosecute him. The justice system would intervene to prevent that.

Unless Dems take the House, Senate and Presidency in large numbers and a SCOTUS shifts to liberal majority, he will be able to live out his life golfing in luxury.

The Republicans will fight like demons to prevent any legal repercussions and if they fail it will always be taken up to SCOTUS who will order any punishments overruled even if they are fully justified because he was a Republican president.

No, Trump will never go to jail even if he loses next year and he's likely to win.
There are so many ways to cheat with Russians still supporting Trump, voting machines and voting totals being hacked, gerrymandering, voter blocking, AM radio and Fox News that it is going to be difficult for any Democrat to win who relies on an honest voting count.

Also with all the hundreds of extremist judges Trump has installed for lifetime appointments it's going to be difficult to win an honest battle in the courts. Any case between Republicans and Democrats will automatically be handed to the Republican. Our system of Democracy and justice has been gifted to the extremist, anti-democratic, right wing and they will hold that power for several decades at least.
