Trump says that he'll try. What does "I'll try" even mean?

Trump now says "I'll try to stop "Send her back" if it happens again."

What does the even mean? I will tell you what "I'll try" means. It means NOTHING.

It is a fucking flashing yellow light that says "sure, go ahead, just make sure there is no oncoming traffic!"

Trump's gaslighting is so tiresome.

If his mouth is open, Trump might be snoring, eating or lying.

What a vile creature! How do Evangelicals tolerate such a sinner? How can they believe that Trump's presidency is divinely inspired?

It makes my head hurt.

When McCain was running for president and one of the people at his rally made disparaging remarks about then-Senator Obama, McCain handled that person reasonably and forcefully. He said that Senator Obama was a good American with whom McCain just had policy differences.

Let's see how Trump handles it at his next rally.

Trump has certainly never (to my recollection) retreated behind "I'll try" during his administration. He's boasted on and on (and on!) about his preternatural ability to do the impossible on any number of occasions on any number of topics. Remember how he was going to repeal Obamacare on day one? And how only he could accomplish stuff? Now he's reduced to "I'll try" when it comes to handling the slavering mob he's assembled? Weak!
