I suggest Democrats stay on this topic. Republicans clearly don't want to defend Trump's racist comments, but it would appear that for once one of Trump's attempts at distraction has become worse than whatever he wanted to distract from. Republicans and conservatives are yowling like some sensitive part of their anatomy is caught in a vise. Let's keep after it.

He is so careless and apparently thinks any distraction will do. Obviously, he didn't think what he said was all that bad, just bad enough to draw attention away from Epstein and rape allegations. Oops.

Just heard an explanation of what this rule is that they use to say "the gentleman's words are unparliamentary". Created by (surprise) republicans back in 1984 made it a house rule that you can't say that the president says anything racist See article about this rule.

Racists make a rule saying you can't even use the word "racist" to describe something the president said, even if it's blatantly racist. Not hard to guess why they set up such a rule. Republicans are childish to the extreme and have been since Reagan. Such a nonsensical rule to protect their delicate sensitivities (or hide their shame, really). Childish bully tactics. Good to see some Dems finally standing up to them.

The republicans' sense of entitlement is leaking out everywhere these days. Clearly they have no good ideas on how to run a country as diverse as the United States. They are an abject failure in meeting the real challenges this country faces. And the conservatives' approach to global issues is an unmitigated series of disasters, one after another - endless war, exploitation of people and resources just about everywhere, and so much more it would take books to describe.

It's a never ending battle with people who lie, cheat, deceive and outright steal to hold onto power and the best they can do is cut taxes for the wealthy and explode the budget with insane defense spending and huge giveaways to corporations while ignoring the basic needs of the people. If given the task, they couldn't even keep the trains running, let alone on time. They have utterly failed at grasping the significance of the role of government.

have something along the lines of:

If Representative Collins finds the quotes of President Trump that I have read into the Congressional record so offensive then he has in fact agreed that the President's comments are both offensive and racist. As the saying goes: If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is a duck.

Then sit back and watch Collins' head explode.
