Though it chaps my nether regions go say it--- congratulations Republicans.
For decades, we on this side of the aisle have understood that, aside from greed in all its forms, racism---and, more broadly, "otherism"---was the glue that bound your educated elites to your high school drop-outs; your arrogant billionaires to your snarling unemployed; your mansion dwellers to your mom's basement dwellers. It has always been about hate for you folks but, until recently, it was understood that while it was ok to FEEL that way, it was not politically wise to admit having those feelings, let alone boast about it. But, now that's all changed.
By hook or by crook, you now have your very own Grand Wizard in the White House. Being a mean, hateful, racist asshole--- the default attitude for most of you---is now not just "in", it is virtually a requirement for anyone seeking office---or seeking to stay in office---as a member of the POT (Party Of Trump), not the GOP.
So, you are now free to let your hair down, wear your hoods in public and openly persecute anyone who is not a white, straight, wealthy Baptist.
Have fun while it lasts. Many of us do not plan to go quietly.
