Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested tonight that she and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin may be within striking distance of a two-year agreement to avoid billions in automatic spending cuts and a calamitous default on the nations debt, Politico reports.
Said Pelosi: We have a clear understanding of what we want to agree to and I think thats progress.

It's not very romantic but it's a really big victory for Pelosi and the House Democrats.

Pence would threaten him with the 25th Amendment. McConnell would announce his support for impeachment.
Ivanka would spank him.

When they tell him what it will do to his election chances and his investments, he will sign it.

This is huge, especially if the Democrats get what they're demanding or something close to it, including "$22 billion over the next two fiscal years for veterans health care." Now that would be a nice victory for the nation's veterans.

but anarchy and financial disruptions are not good for anyone.

Let's see what was negotiated before jumping off the deep end. Negotiation was how our government functioned since it's founding until 1995, when Newt set about the "my way or the highway" approach to legislating for the Republican Party.
