(35,996 posts)My house is safe, a few minor issues to deal with when this thing is gone. I'm blessed, nothing major to worry about and much better than it was 7 years ago.

Much of the state of Alabama has been in a drought.
I know the rain will be welcome farther north.
I'm on the edge of outer bands east of Mobile.
It's been pretty much a non event here.
Drove down to Gulf Shores today.
Just high winds and surf.
Looking forward to a nice Labor Day week end.

(16,860 posts)It hasn't stopped here for the last 24 hours. One of the feeder bands is virtually stationary over us and we have a new tornado warning every 30 minutes. The rain in this storm is as bad as any storm I've ever seen. I never thought I'd see such a relentless category 1 storm.
